a little about me...

So, what is this website for? Another passion project? A way to impress job recruiters? Honestly, I’m not sure. Even though I call it my online portfolio, I wanted this space to be more than a collection of past projects, resumes, cover letters, and degrees. I wanted it to feel real. A place where I can share my work, my thoughts, and the parts of the process that don’t always fit neatly into a traditional portfolio or job application. I make mistakes. I experiment. I try things simply to see where they go. That’s why I call this site anexperimentalspace, because everything is worth exploring.

My work sits at the intersection of urban planning, design, and human experience. I’m not just interested in architecture, but in the life, movement, and emotion embedded in space. Whether through hand-drawn sketches, spatial analysis, or planning strategy, I’m constantly trying to understand how places shape people and how people shape places. As a runner, I experience cities at eye level, moving through public space and noticing the small details that influence pedestrian mobility, infrastructure, and everyday urban life. That curiosity, and the way I stay in constant conversation with the built environment, is what first sparked my passion for what I do.

At the core, I’m drawn to how cities function beyond their physical form. I want to create work that blends technical precision with artistic storytelling, using design as a tool to support equity, resilience, and livability. This space is where I document that process, the questions, the ideas, the growth, and the experiments along the way.

I hope this space inspires you to experiment, explore, and take risks, because that’s what I’m trying to do too. It’s easier said than done, but I’m learning to embrace it. Maybe this can be a growth diary for me, and hopefully for anyone reading.
